Operation "Pillar of Defense" in Gaza Strip, at November 14 - 21 2012. The Operation began with the killing of Ahmed Jabari by israel forces , Jabrari was the chief commander of the military wing of Hamas.                  

Rockets fired on Israel from Gaza on southern and central cities. At the first time Rishon Lezion, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were attacked. The operation was conducted by the Air Force, navy Force and artillery forces.

IDF did not enter in Gaza Strip. But, IDF conducted thousands of attacks on targets in Gaza .

During the operation, the IDF struck more 1500 targets and killed 30 senior members of Hamas. During the operation was a rocket barrage heavy on Israeli - 1,506 rockets. "Iron Dome" intercepts 421 of them. In the operation were died two soldiers and four civilians Israelis.     

The operation finished by Ceasefire between both sides.
