The Second Lebanon War took place between the IDF and Hezbollah in the summer of 2006, in Lebanon and in northern Israel.

The war began with a massive  Israeli attack, in the aftermath of the abduction of two soldiers by Hezbollah , and in order  to destroy  the missile forces themselves.

By the end of the war, Israel had not accomplished its objectives.
